Cardinal team ranks 13th in the MLB: Payrolls to be provided per player's most wins

The St. Louis Cardinals ranked 13th among the other 30 Major League Baseball(MLB) teams in getting the most wins per the player payroll in the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Cardinals have finished their 2020 regular season ranked among the top National teams. The cardinals paid $2.29 million per win in the shortened, 60-game MLB season found in the analyzing payroll figures by the spotrac and MLB standings. The cardinals played 58 games out of the 60 and one wins added sores to the team's total discrepancy. 

Paul Goldschmidt had gained the highest pay among the cardinals in this season, payment of $12.1 Million. He had joined the Cardinals through the 2018 trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks and had signed a contract of extension in 2019. 

 The cardinals have finished the 2nd place in the  National League Central Division with a 30-28 record. They have won the first playoff game against the San Diego Padres, but lost the next and eliminated in the best-of-three wild-card playoff rounds.
