The Madhya Pradesh government is paying about Rs 1.25 crore per day to Ahmedabad's Supratech Lab at the rate of Rs. 1980 per sample.

Even after having sufficient capacity to test corona samples in various government labs of Madhya Pradesh, 6000 to 7000 samples are being tested daily by the Health Department for examination in Supratech Lab of Ahmedabad. The state government is paying about Rs 1.25 crore per day to the lab at the rate of Rs. 1980 per sample. The cost of testing a sample in a government hospital comes to Rs 900 to 1000, even if the cost of testing kits, employees, machines is mixed. Even after this, many types of questions have started to be raised on conducting tests from private labs at double the cost.

The state and central government have the ability to test 22,080 samples every day by combining lab and rapid antigen tests. Corona has been tested on average 23,315 samples daily this month and 19,672 samples in August. In this context, all samples could be examined in the government lab. As patients are increasing, the testing capacity of government labs is also being continuously increased.

In addition, the introduction of rapid antigen test facility has also reduced dependence on RT-PCR probes. Instead of conducting tests from private labs, the government may increase the number of rapid tests. This makes a check for Rs 440. Investigation report is received on the spot in 15 minutes. The ICR has also allowed this investigation to be considered credible.

In March, kits were being sold for Rs 900 to 1200 to test a sample of Corona. After that many companies started production, so the price of the kit continued to decrease. MP Public Health Supply Corporation signed a contract with Supratech Lab in June, during which the kit was being sold for Rs 750. Now kits are available from Rs 250 to Rs 400. Even after the kit is inexpensive, private labs are being paid in terms of Rs 1980 per sample.
