Welcomed Babri Verdict with "Jai Shri Ram" Chant, Says LK Advani
Veteran BJP leader LK Advani, who was acquitted by a special CBI court on Wednesday in the Babri mosque destruction case, welcomed the court decision by chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’, and said it came in “footsteps of another order which paved the way for my dream about seeing a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya”.

- The case relates to the razing of the disputed structure in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992.
- He expressed he “wholeheartedly welcomed the numerous judgment”.
“The judgment vindicates my private and the BJP’s recognition and commitment toward the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. I also truly feel blessed that this judgment has come within the footsteps of one other milestone decision of the Supreme Courtroom given in November 2019, which paved the way for my lengthy cherished dream about seeing a grand Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, the establishment laying ceremony of which was held on August 5,” Mr. Advani, 92, expressed in an official statement.
“It is an important decision and a matter of happiness for us. When we heard the updates on the court's order, we welcomed it by reciting Jai Shri Ram,” Advani said in a video message.
Later in a statement, he said the “judgment came in footsteps of another verdict which cleared the path for my dream of seeing a Ram Mandir at Ayodhya”.

A specific CBI court in Lucknow, clearing each of the 32 accused within the case along with Mr. Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, and Kalyan Singh of scheme costs, stated the Babri mosque on December 6, 1992, was not purposeful.
After the court decision, the 92-year-old BJP leader came out and welcomed the media, gathered outside his home, by chanting the slogan of “Jai Shri Ram”.
He was seen watching the news in his resident while sitting with his relatives and his daughter Pratibha Advani, who was holding his hands.
