Honourable Cheif Minister of Maharashtra has confirmed the date to be 27th March for conducting the exams. 

The Maharashtra State Civil services exam, also known as the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) preliminary exams were postponed due to the outbreak of covid in the State. Maharashtra has witnessed a surge is covid cases and accounts for about 60% of the country's each day number of cases. The exam which was to be held on the 14th of March will now be conducted on the 27th of March.  The date has been declared by the Honourable Chief Minister recently in his tweet after its postponement. 


 

The exam was to be held in April 2020. But the outbreak of covid resulted in the postponement of all the exams including the MPSC. The state had planned to conduct the exam in March but amid the rising covid cases, the officials have decided to wait for a short period so as to try and curb covid cases and make students feel safe.
