KERALA MAN SAVES UP FIVE LAKH RUPEES BY QUITTING SMOKING: PROCEEDS TO STOREY-UP HIS HOUSE

Smoking is injurious to health and we are constantly reminded of the same whenever we open the television even when we want to watch a movie. Smoking over a long period presents human health with long term diseases like lung cancer, throat cancer, asthma, etc. Knowing these effects a Kerala man left smoking and saved up lakhs of rupees with which he is planning to build a house of his own.
Venugopal Nair is the name of the man who legitimately left smoking eight years ago and now, not only is he living a clean life but also he has saved up quite a fortune and is aiming at building up his own house with the same money that he saved by not smoking cigarettes or bidis.
Leaving smoking gave Naira savings of 5 lakh rupees. Also, he plans to keep the savings going to safeguard the future of his wife and his two kids.
Nair said that he had started smoking at an early age of thirteen years. Bidis were cheap at that time and he had the habit of smoking up packets of bidis without the thought of it attacking his health or wealth. He used to smoke cigarettes alongside. Packs of cigarettes were costing around 50 rupees and he used to smoke up nearly 2 packets each day. That is when he decided to stop smoking keeping in mind the disclaimers regarding smoking that could affect health. At the age of sixty, he started having heartaches which pushed him to leave smoking.
Nair is now planning to add a floor to his single storied house with his savings. Nair has hence become a star to people who would like to save up both money and health. Leaving smoking is not a matter of joke. It takes a lot of self-work to stay put and this Kerala man seems to have taken the two best decisions of his life.
