“Atmanirbhar Bharat”…possible?

Recently, a vision has been spread among the citizens of India to become “Atmanirbhar”, means to manufacture and sell within the nation. It is a revolution contributing to nation’s revenue increase, limiting the import of goods and raw materials from world. Honourable Prime Minister Modiji, raised this vision of becoming self reliant on action over China’s wrong deeds at Galwan valley issue.

Becoming self reliant in every sector is the vision, seems to be a wonderful idea, but reality is far away. Manufacturing within, needs raw materials and some of the raw materials has to be imported. Currently, in sectors like electronic gadgets, India has been the world’s largest importer, mainly from China. The reliability of Indians towards Chinese goods aren’t easily going to end. In such circumstances, we are lacking with self enthusiasm for promoting Indian goods. The quality, price and uniqueness of the Indian products has always been at criticism by our own people which led to Chinese products flourish.

People in India are prone to buy  “Brands” which are not Indian of course, leads to entitle Indian goods as down standard ones comparatively. In such circumstances, Indian markets are suffering a lot. Amazon, Flipkart, took over almost entire Indian market under them. Many Indian industries are struggling hard to expand their business in local. Indeed, there are facilities provided by the government of India helped establishing many small industries, but is it enough?

The factors affecting our Indian companies are:

  • Lack of enthusiasm among citizens to adopt Indian goods
  • Lack of enthusiasm and interest towards manufacturing basic raw materials used in automobile parts and electronic parts
  • People are used to buy “use and throw” material and gadgets at cheaper price, but Indian goods are sold at a higher price.
  • Lack of imagination and thought sharing for manufacturing and design of goods
  • Improper motivation and guidance towards entrepreneurship
  • Space and money to work  is the problem

All these ground level problems in India, lead to slow growth in fast moving world. To start anything new, will power and determination is the key. Help and support are it’s backbone. Atmanirbhar Bharat is possible! When students from IIT, post graduates, graduates stop running behind MNC's and start thinking to work for National companies which can become future MNC in world. Starting smart production of basic raw materials by recycling e-waste materials into usable ones. Copying Chinese products, but manufacturing each and every part within the nation is a glory! Manufacturers need to sell their completely “Home made products” in the “Home” at cheaper and affordable price, and sell at a higher cost abroad can help grow GDP of our nation. Local materials will flourish like anything before. Unemployment will reduce drastically. The narrative, “sasta-sundar-tikau” means cheap, beautiful and durable can help people forget foreign goods forever.

Atmanirbhar Bharat is not a dream, it can come into real, the need is help by contributing lively and support mentally to only buy “swadeshi goods” by honour. It’s the need of an hour to unite and avoid as much as importing raw materials and goods, reduce the “craze for international brands”.
