Lack of food and other amenities in the Pantnagar COVID-19 care center has been resolved: Says Chief Medical Officer

Uttar Pradesh: There were allegations of lack of proper food and other facilities including proper sanitation facilities by the COVD-19 patients who were put in the Pantnagar COVID care center. They said that they were sent here from Khatima by the officials of the Health Department of Uttar Pradesh.
In reply to these statements, the Chief Medical officer of the Udham Singh Nagar District said that the issues have been resolved and the patients will be provided with the facilities required to stay for quarantine. He also said that there were some families whose children had to come to this facility as they could not afford institutional quarantine which will be looked at and they will provide facilities to stay in home quarantine under the care of their parents.
This comes after the increase in the cases of COVID-19 cases in the state which was 5,041 cases yesterday and the overall active cases are 48,998. This conduct of the state can be seen as neglect to act quickly and contain the cases of COVID-19 and treat the people who were affected by the virus so that the spread of the virus and also the death rate can be contained.
There were also previous allegations against the Government of mistreatment of the COVID-19 patients and also of fewer measures taken to contain the cases and also the death rate. This has led to an increase of the daily cases and deaths which can be seen from above.
This reply by the Chief Medical Officer can only be further verified if the details from the people who were sent to the COVID-19 care center arrives and there are proper facilities in the center. This reply can be seen as a good sign that the Government of Uttar Pradesh is changing its ways and trying to focus on how to reduce the number of cases in Uttar Pradesh.
