Soldier martyred, a terrorist killed in Pulwama: J&K

Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Azaad Lalhari of Pulwama was killed in an encounter with security forces today morning. A search operation was ongoing where a Soldier was injured in the initial exchange of firing in orchard Kamathipura area of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir and later martyred.
A soldier was martyred in the line of duty and another was injured during an encounter, a Hizbul Mujahideen Commander terrorist was killed during a gunbattle in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, after security forces launched a search operation early this morning, based on information about the presence of terrorists there, officials said.
Kashmir Zone Police tweeted that the encounter took place in Kamathipura of Pulwama. There was an exchange of fire when security forces approached an orchard in Kamrazipora early on Wednesday. The soldier was injured in the initial exchange of firing and later succumbed. They added the search operation is on. One AK 47 assault rifle along with grenades, pouches and other warlike stores were recovered from the encounter site, an army spokesperson said.
On Tuesday, security forces arrested five people, including a Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist, recovered a large cache of weapons in the frontier district of Kupwara near Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir.
