Supreme Court Senior Lawyer Prashant Bhushan guilty of ‘Criminal Contempt of court’ : Scandalising the court by lowering its authority

Prashant Bhushan popular civil rights lawyer tweets based on distorted facts but it was a fair and reasonable criticism which is the fundamental rights about two issues :
1. Chief Justice of India riding a 50lakh motorcycle at the Raj Bhavan, without wearing a mask or helmet at a time when he keeps the SC in lockdown mode denying the citizen’s fundamental rights to access justice!
2. For 6 years the CJI who have come up with their democracy is distorted.
Supreme courts take action on this tweet as it is a trust-breaking tweet towards the trust of the fellow citizens and also charges about the CJI of India and regarded it as a measure “contempt of court “. As per contempt of court act 1971 refers to an offense of showing disrespect to the dignity of the court authority of a court. The act divides into 2 parameters :
Civil contempt: to disobey the decree, direction, order, writer other processes of a court, or wilful breach of an undertaking even court.
Criminal contempt: it is any publication which may result in :
• scandalizing the court by lowering its authority
• Inference in the due course of a judicial procedure
• An obstruction in the administrative justice
Punishment: 6 months in prison or a fine of Rs. 2000
