The plea by Swapna Suresh the Main accused of the Kerala Gold Smuggling case to be Pronounced tomorrow

Kochi, Kerala: Kochi Customs Court today has ordered the delay in the pronouncement of the bail plea filed by the Swapna Suresh who was accused of smuggling gold to the Kerala Consulate from the UAE Consulate in the Diplomatic bag to tomorrow.
The decision comes after the reply by the Customs Department which said that there needs to be a delay in considering the plea filed by the Swapna Suresh as they want to conduct more investigation on the case. There is also substantial evidence against Swapna Suresh and the other accused which was even observed by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate who pronounced the order.
The Swapna Suresh on the other hand in the plea filed said that the case was motivated by the political ambition of the Central Government who wanted to demean the State Government and the allegations against her are false. This was countered by the Kochi Customs and also the National Intelligence Agency which is currently investigating the case and the link of the case to the Principal Secretary of the Kerala Government.
This has caused a huge backlash to the Kerala Government which has seen success during the COVID-19 crisis and also the Nipah Crisis. This case has also caused political fighting with the main opposition leader Ramesh Chenithala alleging the Chief Minister of being involved in the case and asking for his resignation.
The BJP also has alleged the Chief Minister and started protests in the Kerala Legislative Assembly weeks before asking for the Resignation of Chief Minister Ommen Chandy and his entire cabinet. The NIA has now moved to the United Arab Emirates for further investigation and also in finding people who were in charge of the crime which can unravel many secrets into Chief Minister Omen Chandy and also his cabinet.
