Canadian singer The Weekend Known as a Starboy donates a sum of USD 300,000 to Global aid for Lebanon to give treatments to the victims of the Beirut explosion. The explosion was happened in the Beirut city last week, which killed at least 200 people and injured 6,000 people.

An official statement was made by the Singer Weekend manager, Wassim ‘Sal’ Saliby on Instagram where he appreciates and acknowledges to being an ally with the socially aware star. I am so honored and humbled to work with artists who have such deep care for the world and right now for our brothers & sisters of Lebanon who are in pain and need our collective help,” Saliby wrote.

I want to thank my brother @theweeknd for his generous and class act of donating $300,000 to the Global aid for Lebanon campaign,” he added. Not only for victims of the Beirut explosion, Weekend is also donating for several social effects nowadays like coronavirus relief, but Black also lives matter movement, and more on.

According to sources, Singer donated a sum of USD 200,000 each to Black lives matter Global care and he had also donated a sum of USD 500,000 to Musicare’s Covid-19 relief fund. After donating in Beirut, his overall donation till now is approx USD 2.15 million in just over two months.
